Submissions:

Email your submission to taube@srt.com:
• Include high quality images between 1500-2000 px on the longest edge, images must be in the form of .jpg or .jpeg, file sizes must not be larger than 5MB.
• You may include 1 image of each artwork, with an accompanying detail image if necessary. Please do not email more than 6 images total.
• Include the dimensions, titles, and medium of all pieces submitted.
• You may submit up to three entries.

Specifications:

All media with the exceptions of large-scale installations and video will be considered. Must not exceed 50 lbs. Framed two-dimensional art, or art on canvas must be wired for hanging. All wall works on paper must be framed. Unassembled work must come with detailed assembly instructions. Must be original work not submitted to an exhibition at the Taube Museum previously.

Entry Fee:

A non-refundable fee of $35, or $25 for Taube Museum members, must be submitted with your application. It can be paid via cash, card, or check. You may call 701-838-4445 to pay over the phone with card.

Jurors:

Dr. Rob and Eric Thomas-Suwall, known on instagram as @theicygays, started their art collection shortly after traveling to San Fransicso to marry. The Thomas-Suwalls collect art from emerging women and queer artists. They feature artists Julie Curtiss, Salman Toor, Dominique Fung, and Alexander Harrison in their collection. Outside of being collectors, both are involved in the Minot art community as board members of the Taube Museum of Art.

Insurance and Sale of Artwork:

Artwork will be insured for its declared value while in the care of the Taube. The Taube will retain a 30% commission on exhibition sales for members, and 40% for non-members.
Delivery and Return of Accepted Artworks:
Artists will be notified on August 15, 2023 of artwork acception. Accepted artworks must arrive by Sept. 19, 2023. The artist is responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the Taube. Accepted artworks may be hand-delivered or mailed to:

Hand-delivered artworks can be picked up starting Nov. 11th until Nov 21st. If this timeframe does not work, you must make arrangements with staff. Mailed artwork will be sent the week of Nov. 13. You will receive an email notification when sent.
Best of Show: A monetary award will be given to the artist of the artwork chosen for Best of Show.

Liability Statment:

Taube Museum staff will handle your artwork with the utmost care. In the unlikely event of loss, damage or theft of exhibited artwork and materials, by sending a submission you agree to hold no liability towards the Taube Museum of Art and Taube Museum employees.


Guidelines

• Open to living artists 18 years and older residing in the US.

• All media accepted with the exclusion of large scale installations and video.

• Work must have been made within the last 5 years and not previously displayed at the Taube Museum of Art.

Reception: Oct. 5, 5:00-7:00pm CST

Best of show announced at reception

Return of works: Mailed out the week of Nov. 13. Hand-delivered works must be picked up by Nov. 21, 2023.
